In his ongoing search to get to the bottom of beach conditions along the Gulf coast, Defenders’ Tim Male trades in his shovel and investigates tar balls washed up on the beaches, amassing quite a collection. Through some truly “hands-on” experience, Tim gives us an idea of just how sticky the situation continues to be for wildlife habitat in coastal Louisiana.

Stay tuned for more on-the-ground footage of the continuing oil disaster from Defenders’ vice president of conservation policy.
